INTERNAL COMPLAINT COMMITTEE FOR SEXUAL HARASSMENT OF WOMEN AT THE WORKPLACE UNDER VISHAKA GUIDELINES
The Vishaka guidelines are a set of guidelines for dealing with sexual harassment at the workplace that were established by the Supreme Court of India in 1997. The guidelines were created in response to a series of sexual harassment cases and campaigns for women’s protection.
They were promulgated by the Indian Supreme Court in 1997 and were superseded in 2013 by the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act. The guidelines were a significant step towards ensuring women’s safety in the workplace.
