About MAEER's & MIT
Established in 1983 by Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad, the Maharashtra Academy of Engineering and Educational Research (MAEER), popularly known as the MIT Group of Institutions, began its journey with the launch of one of Maharashtra’s first private engineering colleges. Over the years, MIT Group has emerged as a pioneer in education, encompassing 72 institutions and nurturing the growth of over 75,000 students annually.
Guided by the vision of Swami Vivekananda, the MIT Group seamlessly integrates science, spirituality, and education to deliver a holistic learning experience. Our mission is to cultivate future-ready global citizens who excel academically, uphold ethical values, and contribute meaningfully to society.
With a diverse portfolio spanning engineering, medicine, business, law, and the arts, MIT Group provides comprehensive education across disciplines. Our emphasis on innovation and research makes us a hub for transformative learning, while specialized programs such as Vedic Mathematics, Robotics, and Skill Development equip students with practical expertise for real-world challenges.
The cornerstone of MIT’s success lies in its unwavering focus on character-building and spiritual education. Through initiatives such as yoga, meditation, and the revered Guru-Shishya Parampara, we instill values that empower students to navigate the complexities of modern life with resilience and integrity.
MIT is proud to host the prestigious World Peace Centre, recognized by UNESCO for its outstanding contributions to human rights, democracy, and tolerance. By integrating peace education into our curriculum, we nurture compassionate leaders who strive to make a positive impact on society.
With a strong presence across India, MIT is dedicated to academic excellence, skill development, and providing students with global exposure through strategic national and international collaborations. Our mission is to empower students to lead with knowledge, character, and a profound sense of purpose.
