MIT VGS Kothrud organised a special assembly on June 5, 2024, to celebrate World Environment Day and educate students about the significance of environmental conservation. To encourage awareness and action to protect our environment, an innovative concept was adopted by the school to bring awareness among all the students by administering oaths in the assembly towards protecting the environment and promoting sustainable practices in their daily lives. The theme of 2024 World Environment Day is Land Restoration, Desertification, and Drought Resilience. The principal, students of Grade IX and X, along with their teachers, were the audience of the day. The principal delivered a speech emphasizing the role of the Environment and its importance and asked students to take initiative to save the environment. The celebration of World Environment Day was a resounding success, fostering a sense of environmental responsibility and inspiring students to become stewards of the planet. Students gained valuable knowledge and skills to contribute towards a sustainable and eco-friendly future.
