Senior Secondary is a critical juncture in a student’s life, as they prepare to craft their future in a competitive and challenging world. MIT VGS Kothrud and Loni Kalbhor campuses organised an Orientation program for the parents of Grades XI & XII Science and Commerce stream.
The Orientation Programme was an initiative to get them acquainted with the CBSE curriculum, and the unique design of the course curriculum.
The strategic focus areas were differences in teaching methodology, employment opportunities and Career counselling, personal grooming, internships, entrepreneurship training, soft skills, guest lectures, and field visits to analyse their strength, interest, and other important factors. Scholastic and co-scholastic subjects, and assessment schedules were also discussed.
The orientation program proved to be a sincere effort made by the school to educate the parents to look after and properly guide their children. It also helped in evolving a common teaching strategy and helped the parents identify suitable follow-up methods to reinforce their children’s learning process. The session ended with the conclusion that the student’s progress depends on the joint efforts of both parents and teachers.
