The MAEER’s Vishwashanti Gurukul School Kothrud celebrated the joyous festival of Navratri with great enthusiasm recently. “Navratri” is a significant festival dedicated to the worship of the goddess ‘Durga’. It is celebrated with fervour in various regions, with many people observing religious practices such as fasting, dancing, and feasting during this time. The students of MIT VGS Kothrud wholeheartedly participated in the festivities, dressed in vibrant ‘ghagra cholis’ for girls and beautiful ‘kurta pyjamas’ for boys. The celebration commenced with prayers offered to Goddess Navadurga, followed by an explanation of the significance of the nine days of Navratri and the nine forms of Goddess Durga. The Navratri celebration symbolizes the triumph of good over evil. The students, teachers and parents joyously danced to the rhythmic beats of ‘Dandiya’. This festival embodies happiness, faith, devotion, and a sense of unity among everyone. Students and teachers celebrated the day with vitality and cheer, showcasing a wonderful display of tradition and joyous fervour.
