Sanskrit Day Celebration at MIT VGS Ulwe
World Sanskrit Day was celebrated at MIT Vishwashanti Gurukul School Ulwe with great enthusiasm and reverence, showcasing the cultural and scientific significance of the language.
The event began with a World Peace Prayer, pledge, school song, and the reading of the Preamble, followed by the Thought of the Day and the introduction of a new Sanskrit word. Students recited subhashitas, delivered speeches, and presented melodious songs, devotional dances, and a lively quiz.
Performances like Saraswati Vandana, Shiv Stotra, and Gananayakaya Geetam added devotion and vibrance. A video on Sanskrit’s modern relevance enhanced cultural awareness, while the Principal’s inspiring Sanskrit address emphasized its timeless value. The celebration concluded with Pasaydan and the National Anthem, leaving all with pride and a deeper connection to Sanskrit.
