Matru-Pitru Diwas was celebrated at MIT Vishwashanti Gurukul School Sangli in an enthusiastic and emotional atmosphere. The objective of the programme was to create awareness among students about respect, gratitude, and strong cultural values towards their parents.
The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. Students honoured their parents by performing a traditional aarti (aukshan) and presenting bouquets. Through various performances, students beautifully conveyed the message that “Parents are our first teachers.”
Parents participated wholeheartedly in the celebration. The event highlighted the importance of strong coordination among parents, students, and teachers, and emphasized the vital role of parental support in the holistic development of students.
The Matru-Pitru Diwas celebration proved to be inspiring and meaningful. It strengthened feelings of respect, love, and gratitude among students towards their parents and helped deepen family bonds.
