The Black Colour Day and Makar Sankranti Celebration was joyfully celebrated at MIT Vishwashanti Gurukul School Barshi with enthusiastic participation from students. The celebration aimed to help students recognize the colour black while introducing them to the cultural and traditional significance of Makar Sankranti, a festival that marks new beginnings, positivity, and togetherness.
Students came dressed in black attire, and the school environment was decorated to reflect the theme. Various engaging activities such as colouring, craft work, songs, puppet shows, and Kite Making activities were conducted, allowing students to learn through fun and Joyful Learning experiences. These hands-on activities also helped develop fine motor skills, focus, and creativity. Sharing traditional Sankranti delicacies further added joy and cultural connection to the celebration.
The event highlighted important Indian values such as sharing, gratitude, respect for traditions, unity, and cultural harmony, reflecting the essence of Indian Values and Cultural Heritage. Through simple explanations and participatory activities, students learned the importance of celebrating festivals together, following instructions, and respecting cultural heritage.
Overall, the celebration was a meaningful and enriching learning experience that supported ValueBasedLearning and Holistic Education. It enhanced creativity, confidence, coordination, and cultural awareness among students and encouraged them to practise these values in their daily lives, contributing positively to society with kindness and cooperation.
