The word ‘Rangoli’ is derived from the Sanskrit word ‘Rangavalli’ (an array of colors). It’s an art, which precedes sculpture and painting and an expression of warm hospitality.
Rangoli creation is a prominent activity among women of all ages in India. It is the celebration of culture through artistic means. Reviving Indian ethos and encouraging performing arts have always being one of the mottos of MIT. The house wise Rangoli competition was held on 12th October, 2015. The judges were Anitha Didi from Brahmakumari, Mrs. Rasale, and Mrs. Khandekar from Inner Wheel Club of Barshi.
