Weaving the Bond of Love & Protection at MIT VGS Sangli
Rakshabandhan was celebrated at MIT VGS, Sangli with great enthusiasm, with active participation from students, fostering traditional values of love, care, and bonding. The event began with storytelling sessions on the festival’s significance, followed by a Rakhi Tying demonstration.
A Rakhi Making Competition encouraged creativity using eco-friendly materials, with entries judged on design, neatness, and presentation. Students dressed in traditional attire, made rakhis and greeting cards, and enjoyed festive music and dance.
This year, the school proudly initiated the “Ek Rakhi Desh Ke Naam” campaign, where students handcrafted rakhis for the Indian Army and Border Security Forces, expressing gratitude and prayers for their safety.
Extending the spirit beyond campus, they visited local government offices to celebrate, strengthening bonds of respect and appreciation — a small token, yet a profound emotion for those who guard our nation day and night.
