Celebrating the Elegance of Sanskrit @ MIT VGS Kothrud

Sanskrit, often referred to as the mother of all languages, is an ancient and enchanting language that has played a pivotal role in shaping the cultural, philosophical, and literary landscape of India. MIT VGS Kothrud celebrated the beauty and significance of Sanskrit by observing a vibrant and enlightening Sanskrit Day. The event aimed to honour the language’s heritage and inspire a deeper understanding of its timeless essence.

Students from grades III to X witnessed the wonderful programme set in Sanskrit. Dance performances set to Sanskrit verses and melodious music evoked the spirit of ancient celebrations. A skit from Sanskrit added a touch of theatrical brilliance to the event. Speeches and recitations of the classical poems of Sanskrit were mesmerizing. It was a testament to the enduring charm of Sanskrit and its ability to bridge the gap between antiquity and modernity with its profound wisdom and artistic elegance.

The programme concluded with a reminder that Sanskrit is not just a language but a timeless treasure that deserves to be cherished and nurtured for generations to come.
