Math Week Celebrations @ MIT VGS Loni Kalbhor

The students of MIT Vishwashanti Gurukul Schools participated in an array of activities during the Math Week from 12th to 16th December. With the belief that “Mathematics is Everywhere” and “Every child is a mathematician”, the students of grades 1 to 10 were engaged in different hands-on activities like identifying and preparing a list of different shapes in different food items, comparing currencies, making posters and origami.

A role play depicting how shopping is fun, including preparing an attractive banner in their respective shop showing discount% on MRP, total discount, GST/Sale Tax information, etc. was done. The students also explored the different mathematical symbols used globally.
