Pink Day Celebration @MIT VGS Loni Kalbhor
The pre-school section of MAEER’s MIT Vishwashanti Gurukul Schools celebrated pink day on Friday, 4th November 2022. The colour pink is the colour of universal love of oneself and of others and represents friendship, harmony, inner peace and affection.
Colours play a very important role in the early development of children. The tiny tots looked wonderful as they bloomed and blossomed in different shades of pink. The students were excited to learn that pink colour will be obtained by mixing red and white. Different pink objects, toys and pictures were shown to the students through PowerPoint presentations. The tiny tots participated in a variety of hands-on activities to identify the colour. Art and craft activity of making pink jellyfish out of paper plates, ice-cream candy and ‘palm pasting’ flamingos reinforced the concept of the colour in children. The celebration concluded with a song. Such learning by doing activities gives hands on experience to the children which in turn builds confidence and creates interest in learning. The day was filled with learning, fun and frolic for all.
