Drop Everything And Read(D.E.A.R.) Day Celebration at MIT VGS Kothrud

MAEER’S MIT Vishwashanti Gurukul Schools organised a D.E.A.R Day activity for the students of grades I to X on Saturday, 15th October 2022. The enthusiastic students had carried story books and novels to read along with their classmates at a dedicated time. The activity was conducted in the circle time; the teachers played the role of a facilitator and then joined the students in this activity.

It is important to inculcate the love for reading in the all age groups. The all the sections enthusiastically participated in the activity. It was noticed that most of the students brought along fiction books and they expressed their love for this genre. The activity reiterated the importance of reading and its application in daily life. The students were encouraged to take at least 30 minutes to put aside all distractions and enjoy reading books together.
