Navratri Celebrations @Pre-primary MIT VGS

“India is known as a land of festivals and celebrations”.

The Pre-School section of MAEER’s MIT Vishwashanti Gurukul Schools celebrated Navratri on Tuesday, 4th October 2022 with great enthusiasm. The tiny tots celebrated this festival in a very joyful manner. The girls were dressed in the colourful ‘ghagra cholis’ and boys were dressed in the beautiful ‘kurta pajamas’ which added to the festive mood. The importance of Navratri and Dussehra was explained through video presentations. As a part of a class activity, the nursery students coloured the picture of Goddess Saraswati, while the students of Jr. and Sr. Kindergarten participated in a drawing activity.

The students along with their teachers danced to the beat and tunes of Dandiya using their colourful Dandiya sticks. As a part of the celebration, bondla was also celebrated with great fervour. The kids enjoyed bondla songs with their teachers, going around an elephant in a circle. The day ended with a small treat for the kids as a kirapat or prasad. It was a fun-filled day for all kids.
