Janmashtami Celebrations (Pre primary) at MIT VGS Loni Kalbhor
The students of the pre-school section of MAEER’s MIT Vishwashanti Gurukul Schools celebrated Janmashtami on Thursday, 18th August 2022 with great festivity.
Janmashtami is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Krishna, one of the most powerful and famous reincarnations of Lord Vishnu. This day indicates the beginning of hope. Krishna Janmashtami is one of the festivals that is associated with a lot of fun. The festival is a great time to let children learn more about the festivities, encourage them to show an interest in the activities and also teach them about cultural values.
The students came traditionally dressed as Radha and Krishna. The program commenced with a PowerPoint presentation depicting the importance of the occasion followed by a story. The happy and excited students enthusiastically participated in craft work and made flutes out of paper. The students were happy to see songs and stories pertaining to the life of Krishna. Dressed in colourful attire, the little ones added a traditional touch to the entire celebrations when they danced to the beat of Janmashtami songs and made attempts to break the handi.
The day was a delightful divine journey for the students. The celebration encouraged our students to participate in the rich cultural tradition of our country and know more about their heritage. It was a day full of fun and excitement for the students.s
