Storytelling with Puppets (Pre-primary) at MIT VGS Loni
The use of puppets stimulates imagination and encourages creative play. A puppet show was organized for the students of the pre-school section of MAEER’s MIT Vishwashanti Gurukul Schools on Thursday, 8th September 2022. The students were introduced to hand, finger and stick puppets. The show organized, enthralled the tiny tots as they watched their favorite characters come alive. The show was blended to enable the kids to learn to converse and formulate their thoughts and words to the best.
The children were amazed to see their favorite stories like, The Thirsty Crow, The Hare and the Tortoise, and many more unfolding before their eyes. The teachers kept the students engaged and engrossed with voice modulations, hand gestures and effective use of creative hand and finger puppets, thereby encouraging the students to be a part of the story.
The show of puppets changed the entire classroom developing more possibilities for creativity, critical thinking and curiosity. The show was a joyful learning experience for the students. The tiny tots were given a chance to be a part of learning the art of narrating a story effectively.
