Teacher’s Day Celebration (Primary) at MIT VGS Loni Kalbhor
“Teachers: leading in crisis, reimagining the future”
To honour the generous contributions of the teachers to society and mankind, Teachers’ Day was celebrated at MAEER’s MIT Vishwashanti Gurukul Schools on 5th September 2022. The day was meticulously planned and dedicated by the students to all their teachers.
Teachers are meant to build up creative, independent, informed and innovative individuals, who can contribute to society and build a better place for the next generations. It is a huge responsibility and a teacher has to guide the students and raise them as a leader. The programme unfolded with world peace prayer. The medley of outstanding and energetic dance performances of the students was amazing, followed by melodious songs that were pleasing to hear, and everyone present was cheering their peers. A short dance drama added extra sparkle and magic to the event. It was a whole lot of fun. Poems were recited and speeches were delivered to show their love and reverence to their beloved mentors. It was an opportunity for the students to express their love and gratitude towards the teachers’ efforts and their dedication to grooming their personalities. A prominent part of the Teachers’ Day celebration was the reversal of roles, where the students of grade X performed the duties of the teachers. They were excellent at managing the role in the classes allotted to them.
A teacher can change lives with just the right mix of chalk and challenges. The students offered gifts to their teachers through beautifully designed posters, flowers, creative handwritten greeting cards and artistic bookmarks.
The Principal and the teachers were overwhelmed by the efforts put in by the students and appreciated everyone’s participation and efforts. They made the teacher’s heart swell with pride and joy. The programme ended with a vote of thanks. It was celebrated with great enthusiasm and zeal. The celebration continued as the management organized lunch for the teachers to show their gratitude towards their dedication and excellent performance.
