Rakshabandhan Celebration @MIT VGS Barshi

The Pre-primary section of Smt. Prayag Karad Vishwashanti English Medium High School, Barshi. celebrated ‘Rakshabandhan festival’ on Wednesday, 10th August 2022. This festival mostly celebrated on eafch year in the month of August. On this day sister ties the Rakhi thread to her brother’s wrist. This Rakhi festival is an effort to strengthen the bond between brother & sister. Rakhi is symbol of love & protection.

We celebrate this festival with our family & friends eating home cooked delicious meals & sweets, giving each other gifts, which increase love & affection between the families.

The celebration started with a melodious song of Rakshabandhan. why and how we celebrate Rakhi Festival Teacher explain the Importance of family and relationships especially brother sister relationship which has a very important and have a unique identity to it. Students actively participated in a fun filled activity. Children made Rakhi under the teacher’s guidance. Children wore new attire & enjoyed a lot and also they tied rakhi to trees to show the importance of trees in their life. Students spoke about their siblings which helped in nurturing a strong family bond especially with their siblings.

The fun activities made the tiny tots learn along with a lot of enjoyment! It was a day full of fun and excitement for the students.
