A Fireless Cooking Contest was conducted for the students from Grade Nursery to Sr. KG at MAEER’s MIT Vishwashanti Gurukul School Kothrud, Pune, on Saturday, 23rd July 2022.
An activity ‘Invent a Recipe’ under the theme of the month, ‘Believe in Yourself’ was conducted where students participated along with their parents. The aim of the activity was to provide a platform to the students to showcase their talent and explore new areas of interest. The students with the help of their parents prepared healthy lip-smacking dishes like bhel puri, a variety of sandwiches, healthy chocolate bar treat, dry fruits laddu, tricolor modak, etc. using easy and quick recipes. They served the dishes in an artistic and aesthetic way.
The contest was judged on the basis of presentation, cleanliness, teamwork and taste of the food. The activity ended with the prize distribution ceremony. It was indeed an innovative and interesting activity.
The monthly theme activity was followed by PTM. Communication between parents and teachers is essential to the student’s overall success. The teachers discussed the children’s progress, shared students’ strengths and needs along with the learning styles of the child.
