Green Colour Day Celebration @MITVGS Kothrud
"Green, the colour of prosperity and harmony."
In order to emphasize the importance of the colour, MAEER’s MIT Vishwashanti Gurukul School Kothrud, Pune, conducted Green Colour Day for the pre-primary students on Monday, 4th July 2022. Colours fill our lives with happiness and joy. The main aim of celebrating colour day is to introduce different colours to the tiny tots. Green is the most common colour in the world of nature, the colour green expresses renewal, life and energy.
All the students and teachers came dressed in different shades of green. The students were taught the identification and recognition of green vegetables, leaves, trees and various green objects through a PowerPoint presentation. The children were encouraged to share their views about the colour. To provide a sensory experience to our kids, art and craft activities related to green colour were also conducted. The students of the nursery used their tiny fingers and enjoyed collage activity. The students of Jr. KG and Sr. KG enjoyed the art activity. These activities helped children to develop fine motor coordination, focus and to stimulate creativity.
The green day was a practical learning experience for the children and was enjoyed by all. All together, the event was wonderful.
