Industrial Visit@ MIT VGS Barshi

On 28th of June 2022, students from Grades VI-X of MIT VGS, Barshi along with the Principal and teaching faculty visited Maruti Rope India Pvt. Ltd. Barshi. This visit mainly focused on understanding the procedures involved during the formation of synthetic fibres, the technology and the equipment used in formation of synthetic fibres.

Students were briefed about the entire plant dividing it into 5 major departments namely fibre plant, reeling plant, ready to use fibre, rope products and finally ready to ship. Then we proceeded towards the main manufacturing unit. At the beginning students saw the various ingredients involved in the making of rope. There students were explained about the different types of refinement grades of ropes and formation of rope as per requirement. The entire plant was completely automated. Indeed it was in experience of Experiential learning.
