School Student Council Election Campaign at MIT VGS, Kothrud
“A leader is the one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way”.
John C. Maxwell
The quality of a leader is reflected in the standards that they set for themselves. At MAEER’S Vishwashanti Gurukul School, Kothrud it is time for the formation of a school student council body, followed by elections and an Investiture Ceremony. The nominees showed their interest in standing for the elections and had to go through a rigorous interview process at various levels. A student with an excellent record of behavior, attendance, punctuality, good communication skills, responsibility, reliability, confidence, and who has demonstrated a commitment to the school, happens to be a suitable candidate. He/She will be representing the school at various events.
The prospective candidates gave a speech justifying their candidacy at the school assembly as a part of their election campaign. Selected six candidates (3 boys and 3 girls) designed their symbol for the elections, delivered a speech though very different in tone, from the reflective and detailed proposals of some to the more directly persuasive approaches of others. The nominees were confident and positive in their approach. The entire electoral process will be held in the coming weeks. The students are looking forward to it with excitement as they will have a chance to elect their own student leaders. The students need their voices so they make the right choice.
