Special Assembly on World Ocean Day

The morning assembly no doubt holds the important position out of all the routine activities. It is a time when all the students of a school stand at the same place, as a part of an institution regardless of their age, culture, religion, sex, etc. A feeling of unity is aroused by this act. This feeling of unity stays forever in the student’s mind and it leads to a happy society. The students get to know about their school, its achievements, current affairs, and other additional inputs in a better way because of the assembly.

The students of Grade IX Gamma, MAEER’s Vishwashanti Gurukul School Kothrud conducted the assembly on June 9, 2022. The theme of the assembly was confidence and positivity. It is said that confidence and positivity are the most important key factors for any individual as it keeps one motivated and focused.

The assembly started with reciting the world peace prayer. The school’s mission and vision for the students was reiterated, which was followed by the news updates. As June 8 is celebrated as World Ocean Day, a student briefed about the significance of this day which was indeed enriching. Vocabulary words and thoughts of the day were also part of the proceedings to enrich the language. For the daily dose of motivation, the class teacher spoke about positivity, and a student presented on the theme, ‘confidence’.

The Principal, Sharada Rao briefed on the significance of World Ocean Day in 2022 as “Revitalization: Collective Action for the Ocean.” She also informed them of the impact of human actions on the ocean and to develop a worldwide movement of citizens for the oceans. With her note, the assembly was concluded and students started their day in the school with positivity and confidence.
