Robocon 2016 :Digital India
After achieving huge success in first ever Robocon junior and subsequent growth in 2014 and 2015, the event was hosted by Vishwashanti Gurukul School Pandharpur with support from MIT Academy of Engineering Alandi on 22nd & 23rd Jan 2016 at Pandharpur.Pandharpur. MIT Vishwashanti Gurukul School hosted the event in Pune with support from MIT Academy of Engineering College on 3rd , 4th & 5th March 2016 at Balewadi Stadium.All these efforts at the different level were to achieve the MOTTO set by Honorable P.M. of India Mr. Narendra Modiji, the motto of “Digital India”. The participating category included students from grade 3 to 5 and 6 to 9. During the competition which was held on 22nd and 23rd of January 2016, participants displayed skills and enthusiasm towards the theme “DIGITAL INDIA”. The task in the competition was to transferring the data packages from one network to another. The event was chaired and blessed by Founder Executive President and Managing Trustee MAEER’S MIT Pune India. The chief guest for the inaugural function was Chief Guest, Mr. Amit Bhingurde, COO, TAL Manufacturing Solutions Ltd.,Pune, India. Prof. Dr. Karad emphasized how science, religion, and technology could be integrated effectively from the references of Swami Vivekananda. He also stressed on the role of young India in realizing the dream of Honorable Prime Minister. During the valedictory function on 23rd of January 2016, Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Subir Kumar Saha Head of the Department – Mechanical Engineering IIT – Delhi, Naren Gupta Chair Professor, India gave a wonderful presentation on how robotic technology especially robots that are indigenously manufactured in India, employed in defense ministry in various contexts. Participants were actively involved in Q & A session once the presentation was completed.
